Dori replaces restaurant and café pagers with the customer’s own phone. This page explains what Dori collects and why. Dori is made by SANDERA.
Customers who scan a Dori code
You do not create an account and we do not ask for your name, phone number or email. When you scan, we keep:
- Your order number, its status and times (scanned, ready, collected), linked to the business you ordered from.
- A push token from your phone (Live Activity, Apple Wallet or web alerts), only to tell you your order is ready.
- Your app language, so alerts reach you in Arabic or English.
The camera in the Dori app is used only to read a QR code. Nothing from the camera is saved or sent.
A push token is used only for the order it came with. Order records are kept for the business’s reports and contain nothing that identifies you.
Businesses that use Dori
Owners and managers give us a name, email, password (stored hashed) and business details. We use them to run the service, bill the account and contact you about it.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or sharing of data.
- Our server keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to protect the service from abuse.
Your choices
You can stop alerts at any time from your phone’s settings. To ask for a copy of your data or its deletion, write to [email protected].
